My photo
Hi my name is Louise (Lou) and I am a craftaholic. I am in my mid twenties and live in wonderful Scotland. My addictions are jewelry making and cross stitching, I do knit and love to try other things, but these are the two that have stuck. I have been stitching ever since i can remember, but only started stitching properly when i was pregnant with my first daughter. I manage to get my fix in between looking after my two angels and hubby.

Spring has sprung!

I was delighted the other day when I opened my garden door and found that the first ever bulbs I have planted had grown. Only one has flowered so far but it really brightened my day to see this cute little daffy

I have been having a hard time of it lately dealing with my depression and this little guy gave me a huge smile. I decided to get into the garden and tidy up and finally sow some seeds I have had (I had to wait till the snow and frost cleared a little before I could plant them). I forgot how much I enjoy working in the garden, even if it is a pitifully small one lol...

When I came in from the garden I found my girls cuddled up on the sofa watching TV, they had been bickering all day so this was a shock. I just had to capture the moment

On the stitching front, I have been focusing on Sister Angels. I love stitching this and don't really want to put it down at night, but even super mums need to sleep!

This is what the finished project will look like, I have the background in the top left done and will be starting on the smaller sister tonight once I get all of the foliage finished behind her. This is the part I have been looking forward too.
I haven't been able to work on jewelry for a while, I just haven't had a creative head on recently but I'm sure once my new meds kick on properly that will change.
For now I need to get my girlie's organised and ready for the daily grind.
Thanks for looking
x

Beautiful stitching Lou. The Angels are coming along quite well. And the picture of the "other sister angels" is great too. Aren't kids cute when they finally stop fighting?...lol.
That little daffodil is a cutie too. I love daffodils as well...they give me always a spring feeling. And I'll cross fingers that you're feeling better soon. :)

Yes, I'm so ready for spring! We had such a lovely few days teasing us and now it's cold and rainy for the next week. Your stitching is beautiful; this could be your girls! Cute pic - catch them when you can!
Hope you feel better soon.

I love this project and your kids are adorable. I am glad that they stopped bickering for at least a little bit.

I love the spring flowers. It is still too cold here for flowers but I have seen my crocuses at least starting to come up!

I hope your new meds help you to feel better really soon.

Your girls are soooo cute and look just like the angels in your project. I sure can see how it would be a hard one to put down and look forward to watching your progress on it.

Our snow crocus's are just starting to make an appearance. Your angels look great and it will be fun to see the angels appear in your stitching. Cute kids too.

Isn't it a wonderful feeling to see those first shoots coming out of the ground each spring?! I have some crocus blooming and my daffodils are in bud but no flowers yet. Your little girls look like absolute angels - hard to see them bickering but I'm sure they do! Working in a garden, no matter how small, is good for the soul.

Your stitching is coming along quite nicely. I just have leaves poking their tops through the dirt, no flowers yet. And your little angles are darling.

I love your stitching! It is a great job.
I am SO proud of you trying to give blood and register for the bone marrow registry. Thank you for your kind words on my blog!

Yay for spring and pretty flowers to brighten your day! I have heard too how long winters can bring on depression..I was always wanting winter here..too much sun for me. But then we had rain for more then 2 weeks straight and I'm a big baby I guess cuz it was too much!

I hope you are feeling better..I'm sorry you have to deal w/ depression. Your little girls are adorable in their dress up clothes! That is the epitome of little girl-ness..I love it! I have all boys here..a son and all nephews so I'm girl starved. If you want to get into some jewelry again..why not make them something to go with their dress up clothes?
